Before I was writing about old super heroes in a war like situation. Today I think I'll write Sci-fi. Instead of doing it comic book style...I'm just going to free write and see what comes up.

In 2012 a meteor fell to the Earth killing millions and causing the ashes to block out the sun. Several years passed and only a few thousand live. They communicated through radio signals until they all finally got to a abandoned New York city.
However, after they meet and try to find a solution to the destruction they also find humans that are mutated. The radiation changed the dead into zombie like creatures.

This is how we came to live in the Earth's Ring. A scientist by the name of Earl Vermont, lead an exhibition to build a ring around the Earth to get away from the mutated zombies. Eventually, he succeeded in getting the ring into outer space and in orbit around the Earth.

The years went by and the ring was complete but the virus mutated into animals, trees, humans, and anything that once had life changed to the undead. Teams were sent to the Earth to investigate and look for a cure. Most didn’t return and the ones who did were infected and sent back to earth to live with the undead.

It’s been over 100 years since the “Last Meteor” and the Earth is now home of the undead. Something had to be done to get back to living on a planet. Explorers went deep into space to find a solution or a better living planet, what they found has never been explained before until now.

“This is Dr. Reed, we have come in contact with a black hole and are being pulled in! I want my wife and kids to know I love them very much, I miss you all.”

The transmission died there, and soon after scientists lost track of them. They didn’t die, they weren’t lost into oblivion, they found another universe. After they reached the other universe, it was several years before heard from them again.

“This is Dr. Reed, it has been 67 years since going through the black hole. Some of the team are dead others have been saved by a techno organic civilization. These people have were human millions of years ago, now they live forever with the technology they created. They don’t live on a planet, instead they keep building in outer space, they live in space. They don’t breathe oxygen, they are stronger, and never have to sleep. They still procreate the same as humans, but once the child is born they are kept in isolation where they are well taken care of. At age 2 they meet the parents and begin nano technology implants. The place they live in is never ending, it is constantly growing.”

They discovered a different race of humans, but what the doctor told us after was the most important news.

“They know why the Earth is contaminated from the meteor. Millions of years ago a viral outbreak took there world. They were forced to live in outer space for years until discovering Nano techno organics. They changed who they were, they adapted to space. They thought there was a cure, but one was never found. They blew up their world and a piece hit ours causing the same chain reaction.”

That was the last feed we received from them, and our hope was crushed to find there was no cure. The Earth was now a dead planet.
