Webcomic satellites
I know that there are quite a few webcomic hosts out there, but I was wondering if it's a good idea to hit them all to host your webcomic or just a few satellites with a main hub?
I think generally the main point is to get the webcomic out there in front of as many people as you can but I'm wondering if the effort of maintaining multiple satellite sites is worth it. |

Depends what you call worth it. Johnny Saturn runs on Drunk Duck, Graphic Smash, Webcomicsnation, and Comic Genesis. GS & DD have both done really well, WCN in the middle, and CG has not really taken off.

Are you active in any of the forums or communities at these sites?
I know that uploading files isn't really all of the time intensive, but there is a certain amount of time that goes into uploading and maintaining. With that in mind, Scott, seeing as how CG isn't doing much for you, do you see yourself continuing to maintain that site? Also, did I see that Johnny Saturn is on your own site as well? Any downside to having several satalite sites competing so to speak with your main site? |
