Jungle Girl on Watch

My latest piece. Lots of blood sweat & tears, but it's finally done.

I love this piece - the only problem I have is the arm in the background looks a little thin and I know why - the high light on the arm blend into the background - I think if you put a little color there (top and bottom of the arm ) it will seperate itself from the background

This is truly powerful imagery...the scenery being by far the most compelling
part of the composition. Coloring is also very well handled. I'm not too keen
on the girl's positioning, but over all a fantastic illustration.

Thumbs up

Praise where praise is due. Nice colours and a very clear illustration. The flow of movement from the mountains to the tree branch lead to her yet the viewer can't help but let their eyes roam.

pieces this tightly rendered usually end up too stiff but you've mostly managed to avoid that I think.. If I had to make any suggestions, her figure in places looks like it might be hewing too close to photo reference (whether any was used or not).. e.g., the arm closest to us, maybe there's some way to separate the forearm from the upper arm, whether by casting the triceps more in shadow or softening the edges, i don't know.. in general it seems like artistic license could be taken to accentuate form, etc. where a photo might be more hard-edged and flat.

But as I said, that doesn't jump out at me, I'm just trying to be critical in case it helps you see it with a fresh eye.
