Bourne Ultimatum

This is officially a winning trilogy. I hope they end it here, because it is a perfect ending to the series. Although I see a tv series coming down the pipe. Damon is Bourne and it will hard for him to shake, the action star now. Everything in this movie works, the acting, the story, and the action. That was not good enough and the problem happens. That damn shaky camera, I am sick of it and it needs to be put to down. The shaky cam does not ruin the movie, yet it comes very close.

Yeah... shakey cams work great on episodes of COPS, or a the opening 15 minutes of Saving Private Ryan.... but lately it gets used for everything in between and The Protector proved that you can still do very good action sequences by getting one steadycam and a really in-shape camera man to run up some stairs for 8 minutes.

...But yeah...I'mall about this trilogy. I can sit down and in the span of the first 2, do an entire painting from start to finish. They really get me in the zone.

I love the pace and tone Doug Liman set for the first two flicks (as original director, then producer for the sequel), and I'm eagerly looking forward to the upcoming flick. By far the best Damon trilogy yet (screw you, Ocean's!).

i have to agree - the first two films lived up to my expectations after reading the books & I'm sure that Ultimatum will do the same. I must admit that I was unsure about Damon for the role of Bourne before the first film (the character in the book always came across as older for some reason) but he has carried it off surprisingly well IMO.

...and I also agree that the Bourne train should stop with this one - Ludlum only wrote three (if I remember rightly), so any additional film(s) of TV spinoff would kill the franchise unless Ludlum agreed to step in and pen the storylines....which he couldn't do anyway....cos he's dead (unfortunately).

Eric van Lustbader has continued the Bourne series of books, so the material is there for potentially more films.

Past the first hour or so I could never get into the first movie, I personally prefer my action movies badly acted with very little story thanks.

Transformers?

I'll be seeing this movie tonight. The trailer really didn't do anything for me but I liked the first one and luved the 2nd one and so far this one has gotten the best reviews out of all 3.

I've spent the last year getting excited about the barrage of threquels we have had coming to us this summer and have been a tad deflated by the likes of Spiderman 3 and POTC: World's End.

But it looks like the summer has saved the best until last - Even Empire gave it a five-star rating.

If I'm allowed to erase that horrid Transporter 2 from continuity, Bourne's gone through more shit and could certainly handle the Transporter.
