ChesterQuest International Talent Search

1 man.
6 months.
3 continents. (Possibly four.)
13 countries. (Possibly more.)
20 cities. (So far.)
12 artists who will be awarded the opportunity to work at Marvel Comics.
Guaranteed.

Possibly the largest worldwide comic book talent search ever undertaken.

Please come to the Mondo Marvel panel this Thursday, July 26th, at 4:45PM at the San Diego Comic Con, Room 6A, for all the details.

Hope to see you there.

Take care,

Sorry for just posting out of the blue like that, guys. I lurk here a lot and always try and hype DW at panels and when I talk to people about breaking into comics. I thought my new talent search was a great excuse to finally start posting. Hope you don't mind...

Take care,
C.B.

And yes, San Diego is just the start of my whole ChesterQuest Tour, where I'll be visiting all kinds of cons and stores, looking for the next great global comic book artists. Confirmed cities so far include...

San Diego
Chicago
Toronto
Baltimore
Tokyo
Hong Kong
Seoul
Rome
Lucca
Paris
Lisbon
Stockholm
Copenhagen
Dublin
London
Los Angeles
Tokyo again
Angouleme
New York City

Dates and locations to be announced soon.

Also, if you are not located in one of these cities, there's already a P.O. Box set up for mail-in submissions that will be opening up soon. Guidelines and regulations forthcoming as well.

Thanks for your patience.

Take care,
C.B.

Sorry, Elton, but I have to leave the writer search to someone else.

That is possibly the single most embarrassing thing in my life. That'll teach me to post in the middle of the work day and not bother to preview my posts!

Yeah, if by "funny" you mean, "singlehandedly destroying years of carefully cultivated image-building in one swell foop," then yeah, it was pretty funny.

It's probably my karmic reward for being so quick to cast stones at people who have typos and misspellings in their posts -- now I are one of those people!
