Dead Like Me

A few days ago, I was able to catch a couple episodes of this on the Sci-Fi channel. I never saw the original run on Showtime as we had cancelled the network a month or so before the show premiered. When I saw it on sci-fi, I thought that it was a pretty good show that I'd like to see more of, so I bought season one the other night at work using employee discount which made it extra cheap. I just finished it and, well, wow. That was an excellent show. I plan on buying the second season tonight at work.

So I'm just wondering if anyone else loved this show, and what's the status of the supposed Dead Like Me movie I've heard about?

I loved it on dvd...the movie was talked about years ago so I doubt it ever shows. The show has been done for a while now. Either 2003 or 2004 I think it got canceled.

The direct-to-DVD movie is going into production now, directed by Stephen Herek and featuring all of the original cast except for Mandy Patinkin. Ellen Muth says shes been told that if the movie does well, the show could return to TV (although not on Showtime).

What no Rube? Making a movie hardly sounds like its worth it without him.

That's the plan. But he's apparently having a dispute with CBS over Criminal Minds, so maybe he'll end up being available.
