Fantastic Four
I missed the deadline for this drawoff since I was out of town. Here was my entry anyway, so let me know what you guys think of it;

I absolutely adore this style. It's something a haven't seen before; a cross between a cartoon style and a more serious style. Definitely look great. The only thing that stands out is Sue's left hand looks a little big. Still, great piece.

Very nice tonal rendering there, Hanzou! Especially on the thing with the light of the HT.
Speaking of which, although you have great melding of characters in the design, he may be too much of a tangent with Mr. F. Maybe if you brought the HT's flame tail more into the BG behind Mr. F (like you started a bit) and at a sharper angle just where it meets him. Not literally sharp....just curved more, you know? Great stuff, can't wait for more! -Nicole =) |

It has a brushwork feel in some places. Almost Painterly. Damn shame it didn't make print. Good luck, Hanzou. Some high caliber stuff on your hands!

Really nice work with the tones/grays used to define form and volume. Great looking characters, just watch I.W.'s hands, make them smaller than her face and you are good to go.

Really smooth grays. They're very beautiful. The Thing looks a little awkward, though, but this is some really nice work.

Very nice, I'd love to see a BW book done completely like this. It pops out really well.

This looks really good. For a personal preference, I think the Human Torch would look better - more "on fire", I mean - without a dark outline.
