I played RE4 on the Wii

I never played the game on any other platform so popping that badboy in the Wii, shutting off the lights and cranking the subwoofer on my surround sound was thrilling. I'm enjoying the game so far. I really like the controls and I LOVE aiming with the remote to take blows at limbs heads and more! I can't wait for a new RE (outside of that umbrella chronicles, which will be fun for what it is).

My buddy who's beaten RE4 on the cube 10-20 times sat down with me and he enjoyed the controls much more than the cube version. Good time in any event.,

Yeah the Wii controls make it so much easier to aim. Being able to aim saves ammo. Saving ammo saves your life.

The parasites are easy, if you can anytime one comes out run back alittle pull out your rifle, aim and splat! One dead parasite. 1 shot 1 kill.

I'm not very far yet.... in fact... i had to stop playing cause i had to bring it back. : (

Actually, the buddy I was playing with wouldn't let me get the rifle. He's a minimalist. I had to take out the giant with my shot gun and flash grenades.

You really dont need to buy a rifle until you get to the castle and then you can buy the modern semi-auto rifle which is the best one.
I simply like to, its better to have an extra weapon to fall back to if your ammo or expecially if your health is low you can snipe at a distance till you find an herb. Plus the rifle is the most powerful weapon right now, I find it very usefull for any parasites, infected dogs, bosses or like when I mentioned above. I usually buy the Tmp aswell. When you are in a tight situation, like if you are being rushed by a horde of npcs you can spray their legs dropping them all to the ground and run to a defendable position or give yourself time to reload or time to throw a grenade. Thats my fav combo, use the tmp to drop a whole group then lob a grenade into them while their on the ground.

In my opinion you should have one other weapon then your shotgun and pistol. Its very easy to run out of shells and then your left with your weak pistol to deal with a group rushing you. Thats where the tmp is very usefull.

Wait till you can buy the infinite launcher, that plus a fully upgraded hand cannon make the game insanely easy.

I was never able to get the hand cannon becuase i suck at the mercenaries mini game

The Chicago Typewhrighter (Thompson smg) is a game breaker aswell. I love running around killing everything in 2-3 shots. I never bought the infinte launcher though.

I think the hardest part about mercenaries was the village especially when you are first starting out with just Leon its a royal pain in the ass. The best way I found to get through it is collect all the time and items you can as fast as you can and climb the ladder in the barn and just snipe away. I still hate those damn women with the chainsaws.
