pen sketch

Hey everyone.

decided to do a sketch tonight once I finished work. not my usual style. but kinda fun and a good way to use up my almost empty tech pens

Wow, really great "sketch", Jimmy. I like pretty much everything about it, especially the small details like the untied boots, the bag with the canteen next to it, etc. Tons of emotion in this too, obviously. Glad to see more work coming from you lately.

Hey Jimmy,

I picked up Half Dead and read it. Great job! Good story and even better art. I loved the different angles you used. It gives the art a cinematic feel. I also enjoyed the detailed backgrounds. And really cool pin-ups to boot. Hope to see more of your stuff, man.

If you haven't picked up folks, you're missing out. If you can't get it in your local comic shop, try Amazon.

Will you be do anything else with the Dabel Bros?

Thanks for the support, most appreciated

Nothing planned with the Dabels at the moment. They say they'll use me when there is something that suits my work and we may do a sequel to Half Dead to come out next year. But nothing on the cards at the moment with them.

I'm working on some short stories and a mini-series at the moment. But the work I'm doing at the moment isn't due out until late this year/early next

Outstanding. There's just the right amount of balance between black, white and gray, the figures look believeable and natural---there are a few things that need touching up, but they're minor---

All in all, Jimmy an excellent job.

Nice. Not at all what I expect to see on comic boards, and if that wasn't refreshing enough, the quality makes me smile too.

BKMDog: Yeah, there are things I would change and feel free to point out anything you think that's worth improving. It's always helpful to hear where others think you are going wrong. Most of the time I can see my faults, but once in a while someone points out something I hadn't thought of.

Quones: Thanks for posting. I really enjoy checking out your art on here. It's a lot of fun. I do some illlustration outside of comics and now and again like doing little peices like this.
