Conversion from CS to 10?

What do you need to do to save an EPS file in CS to make it compatible with Illustrator 10?

File>Save As> choose eps...then when the option box comes up you'll have the option of what version to save as.

The guy I'm lettering for tried that, but I still couldn't open it. He's saving them as AIs for me, which I can import fine, though it breaks up the text a bit. But it's a workable solution...

Thanks.

F!NCH is on a distinguished road
File>Export… and select Illustrator Legacy EPS from the Format drop down. Hit the Export button and you'll get Legacy EPS Options where you can select the version compatibility.

that should work... how do you open and edit a file that was created in AI 9? when you're using CS2 or CS3?
