Sounds interesting...I've never heard of it. How does it read?

I'm re-reading the first book of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. I've been kicking around the idea of adapting parts of this series to comics just to practice actually making sequentials, and I think I'm finally ready to get started. I'll put up some sketches in the Artist Showcase soon.

Bitterwood was excellent. Now onto "Shadow Kingdoms" a Robert E.Howard anthology. Fun so far.

Read The Innocent Mage/The Awakened Mage (Kingmaker, Kingbreaker duology) by Karen Miller. It was pretty bad. Oh well. Also reading The Crystal Cave by Mary Stewart before bed... I've started the Arthurian Saga a few times, mostly when I was in middle school, now I started over and I'm liking the book a lot more.

Finished Greenwitch - book number 3, and am a quarter of a way through The Grey King....number 4. I'm not ashamed to say I'm having a great time reading this series.

The girl got me a reprint of the illustrated folio of Seba's cabinet of curiosities, one of the most important early natural history collections. It's frickin' awesome!

I'm currently finishing up Anthony Bourdain's "The Nasty Bits." Like the more silly Dave Attell from Insomniac, I'm envious of any man who is able to travel the globe eating, drinking and enjoying himself while calling it a career.

I'm working on 'On the Road' by Jack Kerouac (might I note, the newly published 'Original Scroll' Hardback copy - which is so lush, to coin a phrase). It's beautifully presented, with 107 pages of notes, introductions and history (all of which I'm quite sure I will never read).

I've read the first few pages. I'd read them before on the published version, but stopped. For some reason, it's quite reassuring reading a pretty much untouched version of an author's original manuscript - the sentences that go on for about a page, the names shortened to just initials, the overly long descriptions that just beautifully describe a scene. Yeah, I like it.

It's pretty good. Have you read any of Prothero's other stuff?
