TMNT colours

Hey all,

A while ago I posted this as a sketch, with the hopes of colouring it the following week. Well I think that was April and now, after having climbed my way out of a bunch of extracurricular projects, I have done the colours. I would really like help, I am normally a lineart kind of guy, so gimme some pearls of wisdom if you got any.

GL.

Ok..I'll try my best at tearing it apart.

1) It looks good, great texture on the skin.

2) the reflective is alright.

3) His color seems to change from his upper body to his lower. I always picture Raph with a blue green.

4) Doesnt seem that the light effect the pads the way it does his skin I mean it doesnt seem to effect them.

5) other than that I like it alot

I completely agree with this, the white outline kinda takes something away from the overall effect.

Otherwise, spectacular - you have a real talent!

I agree with what was said about the stark departure in color from his upper to his lower body. I don't think lighting would account for all of it. This is still really incredible though. For not being a colorist, this is an excellent attempt.

misteraxis: thanks for the tips.
Thunder Rat and Comix Obsession: the white outline is a temp thing, this image will be presented differently in the end.
3'LL, JeffW, andie tong, and J. Alexopoulos: THanks I hope you will like the other 3 as much.
mikeexner3: this is seems to be a common complaint, I personally like it, but once all the images are done I will readdress the lighting.

Peace.
