The Savage Sub-Mariner.

Still drawing this. It's Part of the three pic drawing of the Invaders. You've already seen the Captain America.

Justice41:

I think is the second or third time I've seen you draw Submariner and you completely own this character. Strong piece.

It's the 2 and a half time. I only did a rough sketch the first time. It's one of my favorite characters. In fact it's one of the first comics I owned. Marvel Comics #1. I got it from the baby sitters husband who's father was in WW2. It was dog eared but still whole. I really really really wish I had it now. The guy gave me a box filled with old 30's and 40's WW2 era comics that his father had.

Hm...this might be a bad time to mention it, but you may want to reposition the tank or have cracks where his fingers have dug in. With something that heavy, you'd want to find the center of gravity to hoist it over your head. Here, it looks like he's got it closer to the front of the tank, where it could easily fall behind him.

But the figure is excellent!

^ I agree ^. Beautiful figure, but there's something wonky with the relationship / perspective between Namor and the tank. But, as has been mentioned, that's one great, definitive drawing of Subby, alright.

Naw guys Finding ref for this tank has been a Pain. I will probably use a newer tank because that old Panzer tank is hard to find ref for.

What exercises do you use to work out your lats. They stick out so far.

Excellent body rendering.
Problems with perspective, composition and message.

Perspective:His hands are not related with the tank position, the whole body must show big tension, the stretched leg should have tension in his toes.
Both arms are twins with the same size, there is not feeling of depth nor sense of weight.

Composition: the two repeated airplanes exploding behind have the same size and position. Is the same plane in two shots or two different planes?

Message: what are you trying to express with this image?
Is Namor strong enough to lift a tank? Can he fly? Why two twin planes are exploding behind him? Is he battling in the ground or in the sea?
Should those planes meant a danger to him? Are these planes explosion affecting him? Are they allies or enemies?
Is he coming down or up?

Seems that you start drawing the figure, you got enthusiastic, and then you start filling in the blanks.
If you did reach that point with the figure with none clue about the tank reference show that you didn't made a previous study of your scene.

The lone figure for itself looks very good.

BEST!

The art is one of three pieces that overlap and make up a whole. This is what the initial pic looked like. The cap pic is the secon part and the torches the third. Then I will ovelap elements from each into the other drawings like the Messerschmidts and the Torch's fire trail. The torches are the ones taking out the planes. I've nixed the Torch pics because the suck frankly. I'm redoing them but this was the idea behind the three pics. When you place them together they for a V, for Victory. Heh.
