is it a clip? or a plug? If its just a clip, you shouldn't need it. The Genesis should just be able to sit right down on top of the Sega-CD.

p.s. fuck Sewershark. That game pissed me off to no end.

LOL. yeah the end was a bit of a let down. I have night trap and lethal enforcer. As well as a slew of other games. It's a metal plate with two metal pieces that stick up into the bottom of the genesis. I think it's necessary. There aren't any other conectors outside of that metal thing.

Sega CD...wow. And thus began DOA. By the end I was using Duct Tape to hold mine together. Then Dreamcast came along. I just got rid of it last year.

Good times

Jimmy, I think it depends on what generation Genesis system you have. There were three different models, and I think you only need the metal thingie for the Genesis I.

From the Master System all the way through Dreamcast, I've been a SEGA devotee. Only last year did I finaly ditch the Dreamcast. Now I don't think I have anything SEGA related. The Hedgehog would be so disappointed in me.

Even with everything Dreamcast had going for it, I still think my favorite game was Star Wars Demolition. Basically Twisted Metal with more Wookies.

I had the Genesis model I. It sat next to the Sega CD as opposed to on top of it. I had that worthless 32X, too.

Fuck sewer shark, man. Those FMV's really impressed my nine-year-old mind at the time.

All I can remember playing on my friend's Sega CD was Night Trap. An odd title, to say the least.

Spacious, how could you get rid of the DC?!

whoa, flashback thread.

I had a gen model 1, and sega cd. You did need the metal plate for the model 1, because of the way the connector was fitted, the genesis needed to be slightly (ever so slightly) elevated to connect properly. The metal plate is also designed to keep the connection from "slipping" since the model 1 genesis actually hung over the left side of the Sega CD console by a few inches, so it added stability (this way you could still push cartridges into the genesis and not rip the connector port out if you pushed too hard).

I hated Sewer Shark as well. Finished that sucker, then tossed the disc

I also had ground zero texas (that was the limit of my FMV games). I preferred games like Shining Force CD, and Dark Wizard, but the load time killed me. I also had Popful Mail, which I LOVED!

I FINALLY got a Sega CD for the first time last Christmas I've wanted one ever since it came out when I was little. Now I finally have Sonic CD, Ecco, and Shining Force CD, and man, they're fun ( wish I had Popful mail thought).

I've always been a Sega nut. I still have all my genesis games ( and still getting more! ) and my Sega Saturn. I love the heck out of that thing. Maybe I'll get a Dreamcast next.

What got me about Sewershark, was that your robot buddy wasn't always right. "Six, niner, three, niner, twelve!"

"ok... six...nine... three... nineKABLAM... FUCK!"

remember actually looking for that game right when they started pulling it from the shelves. went to every place I could think of and finally found a copy at a rental place...only to have the clerk realize he wasn't supposed to sell the game right as I was going to pay for it.
