New Wii browser coming in April

Wii-owning Web surfers will have to wait a little longer for the release of the full browser for the console, which has been pushed back to April.

The new version of the Opera Software browser is set to feature a number of changes, including improved zoning and scrolling, a better zoomed font, quicker start-up times, faster access to favourites, the ability to erase the toolbar, and pre-set buttons for phrases like www and .com.

Nintendo says the browser has been pushed back to April, "To ensure that the browser incorporates all of these enhancements." It will be available to download for free until the end of June, after which it will cost 500 Wii Points. Those who have previously downloaded it before that date will not have to pay.

Geez. $5? I might be able to swing that. But yeah, it's quite slow sometimes and freezes a lot. Heaven forbid they just make it bluetooth keyboard compatible and make typing easier. Let's just take tons of time making code for shortcut words like www. What really annoys me is when you end something with a period and it wants to type ".us"

uggh.

still fun browsing on it.
