So - most everyone should have gotten this by now. What did you think? Good? Great? Bad? We want your comments and reviews! And remember, we often pull things from these threads for the 'Letters of Justice' page, so if you don't want your words printed please be sure and indicate that.

First off, this FoJ had the best cliffhanger ending I've read in any comic in a long time! I can't wait to see what happens next with the new character. The whole art team did a fantastic job with this one. The story had a great flow to it, and the action was top-notch as usual. Keep up the great work to all involved!
I was happy to see the newest installment of the Revisionist. I had really been looking forward to it since the last one. Overall, I really enjoyed it. I'm not 100% crazy about the new development with the Revisionist since I really enjoyed the world that I thought was established in the Revisionist where there weren't any apparent super powers. I liked the fact that it was sort of anchored in reality in the sense that the main character is a somewhat regular guy who works a regular job and maybe has some serious psychological issues (paranoia, delusions of grandeur), and there was something really amusing to me about the characters who would dress up like super heroes or super villians in that world. Even though I'm not crazy about the new development, I still found this installment to be a real pleasure to read. I think Chad is a brilliant writer so I'm still really interested in seeing where he takes the Revisionist from here. |

Hey rplatt, thanks for the feedback. I assure you, there are (and will never be) super powers in the world of the Revisionist. This is the first time the Revisionist's "trait" has been addressed in a literal sense. If you recall, he was shot to death and tossed in the East River in DWP #10 and stabbed to death by the Cicada and left to die in a pool of his own blood in DWP #20...yet was alive and well the next day.
This apparent invulnerability is part of what makes the character mentally uneven and will be addressed at-length in the up-coming graphic novel Kill the Revisionist!, due out hopefully by the end of the year. Glad you liked the story! |

I just got my issue today and made a point of reading it before anything else. I have to say that this was my favorite FOJ issue yet. This was one of the better written stories, in my opinion, and the art was great. Plus, how you can go wrong with non-stop action?! I heard rumors about the the cliffhanger ending (prior to reading this issue) and it did not disappoint.
However, I'm curious as to whether you're going to try and develop the character a little more in future issues. You have shown signs of doing this in the past but, lately, it seems like every time the FOJ gets done beating one villain, another one shows up. Don't get me wrong. I love the action. That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing some story development in the process. Anyway, great job to everyone involved. I'm really looking forward to the next issue! |

You've gotta read the 'Behind the Scenes' stuff, man! I fessed up there about dropping some of the character development from this issue in favor of more fightin'! But don't worry, we've got everything charted out and by the end of the next two issues you'll know all sorts of stuff about how Marc is feeling and where his head is at. I promise!

I got mine in the mail yesterday, and after reading through it, I agree with everybody else on the great cliffhanger ending. I can't wait to see where you take the story next issue. And Dario's art is awesome, but I thought the inker "change up" was a little distracting.
As far as the series overall, I'm enjoying it, and I understand that part of the point is the "retro" style of storytelling and fast-paced action. But I think it's nice to take a break from the action more and spend some time developing the supporting cast, and fleshing out the Fist some more. I think the Fist could use a Foggy Nelson, or a Mary Jane... we only saw Amy for a couple of pages last issue. Just a suggestion, keep up the good work! |

Marc will have a - for lack of a better word - 'sidekick' starting with the very next issue. Although "friend" works just as well; sidekick might bring visions of Fist of Justice Lad or something and that's NOT in the works.

With this issue, we do open the doors to Benson and Carl becoming supporting cast members for future issues. That wasn't in our original plan since they only appeared in the first FOJ full-length story as throw-a-way characters. Now that Benson has "welcomed" Fist to see him anytime for check-ups and shit... tah-dah!
Issue #33 still has action, but also introduces a new regular cast member, someone from FOJ's past. That's who he'll be hanging with if the bad guy doesn't kill him first. Unfortunately, Amy is dead. She'll only appear in flashbacks. And think about it, everyone FOJ knows from three decades ago is probably aged or passed on. New cast members will be appearing as he gets adjusted to 2007 and starts his life over.
