Zombies!!!!!!!!!!

Starting to get out of this stinkin rut I've been in. Hope you enjoy this one, crits and comments welcome. I wanted to keep the colors flat for the mood and genre.

SweetyPulp has a little shameless behaviour in the past
How can I comment on art? I know nothing of this subject.

That's almost a background though. You've got to get some credit for that.

What can I say? How about some generic advice. "Challenge Yourself!" I like that one. No, no...think about it. It makes so much sense when you just think about it.

I mean, who wants to have fun? No one I know of! Dedicating our very lives to the study of our craft, a devotion that is seared into our flesh like a branding from God. Why when I was young I couldn't stop repeating over and over that I "had to be the best in the world". It was my only goal, the only thing that mattered. I forsook such earthly pleasures such as love, companionship and bathing so that I could fully focus on my mission. Sure it was hard, like scaling a mountain using only your teeth to pull yourself up, but in the end I succeeded and it was worth all the pain and frustration. Now I am as if a God, one who's creativity can inspire others to change their lives. And I suspect you must be much the same. Together we as artists share a bond, not one of social acquaintances or power, but of discipline and sacrifice. We gave everything we had to gain powers beyond comprehension of most people, with many of us dying or going insane during the journey. The choice was a heroic gamble, or maybe something more selfish, but our suffering was real, our triumphs divine. Nothing in this life can compete with the feeling of prideful creation. Made in the image of God, we must aspire to become like him, and possibly surpass his admittedly limited vision. Art has been the only thing to give my life meaning, the only thing that could give me happiness or feelings of self-worth. I feel like the luckiest man on the planet that I achieved my dream, and didn't wind up a pathetic failure that wastes all of his time, impatiently waiting for death. That would be a little depressing.

Sweety, you are one strange cat...

Very nice. I like the foremost zombie. Excellent expression. The female is not so believable. She's trying to be sexy, and zombies are not sexy (unless you know, you're into that sort of thing). I'm undecided on the big guy....

Someone speaking to my heart! Mmmmm... zombies...

If you're going to use a flat color, I'd give the characters some more "zombie" details. Especially around the faces, perhaps a little more blood and decay on the figures? Let's see more!

hey sweetypulp. thanks for the novel! i think i understand what you're saying. let me see if i got this right. you want to see something more than what i'm offering right now, and you feel this isn't to the best of my abilities. if that's the case then thank you for having faith in my abilities and i'm doing the best i can with everything going on in my life right now. this piece specifically was something i just wanted to finish so i could move on. thanks for your words and thoughts.

nitecrawlah2,
you bring up a very good point! i'm thinking flat coloring is the way i'm going to go, it fits right with the grittyness, but you're absolutley right. there does need to be more detail and distinguishment. thanks!
