who is the best leader in comics?
My favorite leader in comics is Captain America of the Avengers.
Next would be Optimus Prime for the Autobots -- well, I never read the comic but I like the cartoon. yours??? |

I agree with Optimus Prime.
I also like Blink in the Exiles. Savage Dragon did a fine job when he was on the SOS and police force. Guardian, Alpha Flight.

I would say Cyclops in the old Claremont days of Uncanny X-Men. It's tough to argue against Captain America with the Avengers, although I really liked Sand and Green Lantern (Sentinel) in JSA as well.

Blink was the worst leader to ever lead an X-team.
Cap, or Batman with the Outsiders, considering what a pack of losers they were, they were untouchable. |

I'd say Marvel Comics because they got more stuff out at the theaters.

good point Ben...he also bosses kings around too - like Namor, and the Black Panther.
With the shield he seems to me to be the most undeniable leader in comics. Next to him I'd say Superman is best. Great leaders must inspire the confidence of their followers...I can think of no two other who do that quite so well. DC characters know that without Superman in certain battles they'd be toast. Captain America seems to be the most adequate for the job leading Avengers...c'mon who's going to replace Cap, the little Wasp? They've never had a leader who comes even close. As for X-men I'd say Storm, not Cyclops...reason being is all the tension between him and Wolverine who could easily topple "slim"...plus Cyke seems nerdy and inept for leadership. He doesn't relish it, he just does it because no one else can really do as good. It's like in high school when you have to get together in a group and the group always elects you to be speaker because none of them want the job. That's the impression I get with Cyke. |

I agree on Sgt. Rock-great leader. Cap is tops among the supers IMO. I think Robin/Nightwing was always pretty solid for the Titans. Magneto is a strong, charismatic leader-Doom and Luthor as well.

you make a good point about Cyclops, cyclops (heh). i always thought there was something about Scott that didnt sit right with me. that seems to be it.
I agree with Captain America as a leader, he's kinda like Batman in the sense that if you put them in almost any situation, he'll get out of it with a can do attitude. and Cap doesnt even have plot armour. recently though, its felt like Iron Man was really in charge. obviously not know as they're kickin five colours of sh!te out of each other. the best leader of all time has to Fred Jones of Mystery Inc. Scott may have Emma, but this cat had Daphne! and a talking dog. and a cool van. and a scalf. Velma looks like a bit of a dark horse as well. ahh, scooby doo, thats what i call doing it doggy style |

Sadly, The Leader is not the best leader in any comics ever.
