why do you say that?

FYI im not a fan of Tony's i just found it interesting to see how he went from an Image type to a very J Scott Campbell-ish cartoony look to a more "realistic" approach.

He didn't go from an "Image" type art style, he was aping Jim Lee when Jim was still at Marvel. He went on to ape Campbell and now is aping some of the South American artists like Ed Benes. He got worse.

HA! I liked his comico work but he was truly original when he did the cable series. I told him his work was awesome at the time. A year later I saw his work...man did he suck. He went way off from where his work was heading.

Here's his blog for a more current comparison. His style has changed over the past year or so on Teen Titans -- really since the start of "One Year Later" this spring.

Oh, shut up already. Being better or worse than another artist doesn't mean that you can't have an opinion of their abilities. And for what it's worth, his stuff isn't very good at all.

itīs not that, itīs about respect of anothermans work. there are many people loving his work (not me, never bought it), he works pro, handles deadlines and so on.. -you cant say horrible, only for not liking his style. american comics are full of anatomy mistakes and worse.

That's not an excuse either. Maybe he does make his deadlines but that doesn't make him a good artist. Neither does the fact that other american artists make mistakes too.

I won't say he's a bad artist, he obviously knows what he's doing he's just choosing to ape others instead of develop his own style. I think it's a bad choice personally, but I've done it before too so eh!

Out of personal preference, I like his earlier work better. The middle pages stretch the eyes and such in wierd positions. The last pages are hard to judge, but based on just them it's not for me. I don't like how he's rendering the characters there.
