Jean, that's an awesome idea. I'll definitely be at Comic Book Sunday to sign.

If there's anything I can do to help let me know! I'll be tweeting each day with a link to Ray's blog post about it. I can donate art if an art auction happens!

I just saw about this and would love to help if I can. I could donate some art if an auction gets set up, or contribute if there's a print book? Hopefully more good ideas will pop up in our heads on how to help out! :]

So sorry to hear about Renae. Best thoughts/wishes/prayers, etc. headed in her and Ray's direction.

I don't draw, so commissions of that variety are off the table, but if people are into paying/donating for cheesy poetry, microfiction and that sort of thing, I'd be more than willing to give that a shot.

Thinking positive thoughts for Renae's recovery... This is such a scary situation she and her family are going through... The bills for this type of thing are a second sucker punch just when trying to get better.

Anything to help; an auction would be cool. If paypal is a problem, I think there is an address on the blog for get well cards etc.

Just looked it up: 18 Killdeer Road

(Actually the best thing would be better options for affordable healthcare in this country. Every freelancer deals with the specter of losing everything if they have a health disaster whether one buys the hideously expensive care available to us or not... Unfortunately, it does not look like that will happen any time soon... )

I hope she gets better.

I did see on Twitter that she's out of the hospital so that's good news. But she's still recovering and I hope that she will get better. She's an awesome lady.

Hello everyone!

I just cannot thank you enough for all the kindness and caring all of you have shown here. I sincerely couldn't put into words how much the support has meant to me.

I had never heard of Sepsis before, and though I'd been feeling progressively unwell for about a year now I was very shocked when I one day found myself in the ER. Apparently I was so bad off, they said if I had waited one more day to seek help I wouldn't have woken up the next day. And they told Ray for a few days to "expect the worst" because my blood pressure kept diving dangerously low and wouldn't stay up. I wrote about it all in length on my blog, but it was a terrible, painful experience. And one of the few bright spots was when Ray told me about the support and caring people were showing me online. So really, I cannot thank you enough.

Recovery has taken time, and while I am feeling a lot better, I have been told it can take up to a year or more before I am completely myself again. I'm just happy to be alive and happy that I can be here for my children that much longer.

Anyway, thank you again for everything.... seriously. I hope I can repay the kindness by trying to pay it forward somehow. I'll be getting back to updating on all things Womanthology as soon as I can. But keep posting your work here, and keep supporting each other!

BIG hugs to you all!!
