Thanks guys. It's funny you mention Sean Murphy, cuz I just finished Joe the Barbarian like a month ago. Hard not to swipe stuff from that guy, what a talent.
And good to hear from you OZ, let me know if your doing comicpalooza in Houston in a couple weeks. |

Cool work, Ike-dog. I was sad to hear of your cousin's passing last year, Nate-dog.

I appreciate that Troy. He was regulating til the end. It's funny, cuz I used to hang with your cousin Paul down here at JV High School back in the day.

I love page 5. A fun departure from your normal stuff. Page 6 is let down by the constant change in shape and size of the helmets. I feel ya though, those helmets are hard to do. As for comicpalooza, no(has it happened yet? I'm out of the loop). I've been really busy and any time I have on the weekends is spent fixing my house or training. I may start making it to conventions this upcoming year though. Hope everything is going great for you man!

Thanks OZ, yeah I was flying through these pages and trying so many different things my consistency on shapes and rendering took a hit. The show was this past weekend. I got one of the most intense reviews ever from Howard Chaykin. My boys were having a good laugh at the whole thing.

Great pages again. Those two panels with the SS officer are particularly nice with a great cinematic feel to them.
My only crit would be your 1st panel on that last page. Is this the same soldier that runs out of town? He doesn't seem to be in any haste at all in that first panel. (If it's another guy, then I hope that's cleared up with dialogue.) :M: www.magnus-aspli.com |

Thanks Magnus. Yeah this script is kind of a montage of images, so that part is rather ambiguous. Hopefully the effect of alot of soldiers in danger is communicated, though.

Digital shortcuts can be useful but the speed lines don't read; looks like VHS static, or a pulse vibrating out from her. Integrate decisions for movement into the structure of the panel, the shapes as they relate in space, otherwise the effect reads as an afterthought.
White over black is sometimes an indicator of poor planning, especially in large quantities. Avoid it. M |
