A Little About Yourself:I graduated 2011 with a BFA in illustration from VCU and now work as a graphic artist in news/media for several local southeast news stations (who knows, depending on where you live, maybe you've seen some of my work!). I work both traditional and digitally.

I've been also putting out a free comic zine bimonthly called Dirty Dino Rock (the link to the site is above) around town in coffee shops and bars for the past few months which has been picking up steam as it goes. (A friend said he traded an issue for a free slice of pizza downtown so that's pretty cool)

Worked on a Womanthology Project before?
No, but it sounds awesome!

Sample of Work: Post ONE sample of your work

This is a one page story from the fourth issue. I mix up one page, two page and full issue (8 page) stories all of which can be found on my tumblr page, http://dirtydinorock.tumblr.com

Womanthology Artist Sign-Up: Sandra Lanz

Name: Sandra Lanz

Website: SandraLanz.com

Email Address: mail@SandraLanz.com

A Litte About Yourself: I’ve been working as a sequential artist in a variety of projects for the past two years. I was published as the artist on a graphic novel called “Luci’s Let Down,” worked on web-comics for Agreeable Comics, and have done art for several other self-published projects by independent writers. My passion is to tell stories about strong female characters that engage the reader and compel them to enjoy the boundless range of roles that women can play. I do as many pin-ups as I do pages of comic art, but for Womanthology I would really enjoy the opportunity to tell a short but entertaining sci-fi mini with a cool chick or two. I pencil, ink, and color my own work, and in many cases write it as well. Please check out my online portfolio for a full range of what I have to offer and I hope you will find I'm a good fit for this project.

Worked on a Womanthology Project before? Not yet

Hello!
I'm a freelance artist based out of San Francisco. I'm in the process of breaking into the games industry and would like to make that a duel effort with comics. I'm fairly new to comics and have just begun my own adventure into penciling/inking/coloring for an upcoming indie project. I hope to show you more of that in the coming months! At this point I'm very interested in pinup and cover work.My BFA thesis investigated race and representation in character design, specifically for the fantasy genre in games. I combined West African mythology with cyberpunk to tell a Miyazaki inspired story through a series of drawings and concept paintings. I have some samples on my website.
Finally, I was lucky enough to attend Image con recently and got to meet some of the lovely ladies of Womanthology who were kind enough to review my work!
I haven't worked on a Womanthology project...yet!
Thanks for looking!

***edit***had a little trouble getting my jpeg to upload. I will try again later. In the meantime, please refer to my online portfolio. Thanks!

About me: I am an artist, author, and self-publisher or my own books / comic books. I am passionate about my art and work on one project or another everyday as soon as I get home from the j.o.b.
For the moment that includes publishing 2 books the last few month and working on getting another 1 or 2 out and up on Amazon before the end of the year.
I prefer traditional mediums and typically use color pencils, black markers, a quill with India ink, and watercolor in various combinations.

See my sketchblog: http://DancingBlender.blogspot.com

Worked on Womanthology before: No. I happened on this by luck and would love to participate.

Sample of Work: This is a page out of my most recent book: A Cappella, a collection of short stories.
132 pages, watercolor and India ink.

A Litte About Yourself: I'm a Chicagoan born and bred. I graduated with a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and now am a current student at the College of DuPage getting an associates in graphic design with a concentration on graphic design, web design and illustration. I LOVE drawing and I use a number of different tools in order to get the effects I want, from traditional watercolor, acrylics and inks to photoshop, illustrator and painter. I can also do hand lettering and have been experimenting with more unique types of custom typography. I would perfer and would love to pair up with a writer to do a sequential story series but I can also do pinups.

Worked on a Womanthology Project before? No. This will be the first time I've done this project.

Sorry if I'm late on posting this, it's been a bit silly the past few weeks.

A Litte About Yourself: Bachelors in Digital Media, I want to eventually find a job where I can build pretty things for people to see and make a living off what I love to do. Right now I live in Florida and draw one picture a day to put on my sketch blog for fun and practice. Future plans are making more video games and to start making webcomics. A friend mentioned this site and how you all make comics together, I'm really interested in this. I haven't posted much on this forum due to my new work schedule, but I will start jumping into threads eventually.

Worked on a Womanthology Project before? Nope

Sample of Work: I'd probably do best at a pinup.

A Little About Yourself: By day I’m a not so mild mannered State Farm insurance agent. “Like a good neighbor...” and all that jazz. But at night, my alter ego is a frenzied comic book artist struggling desperately for a way into this industry that I love. Check me out at DeviantArt for all my redundant bio information if you like, but more importantly check out my stuff. Hope you enjoy.

Worked on a Womanthology Project before? No, but I'm dying for an opportunity to. It's a message that I feel strongly about.

A Litte About Yourself: MA in Ethnolinguistics, IT Service Desk analyst by day, comic writer/artist and illustrator by night. Actually I prefer to work at night.
Published comics: Portrait in Lemon Law 3 anthology by Fireangels GMBH, self-published fancomic Taming Anger
Webcomics - Seclusion Inn (discontinued) and More Than a Hunch (present).

I tend to think of myself as a primarily action/adventure and mystery type of creator so, obviously, my debut work was a short romance. I like writing varied, strong characters and their interactions and sticking fantasy elements in almost everything I draw or write.

Worked on a Womanthology Project before? No.

In my comic book style I combine "Magical Girl" Manga concepts with western storybook illustration and fantasy and sci fi.
