I think Batman is a DC Entertainment property, which makes the old school Marvel logo a strange choice.
The colors need work in that I don't detect any cogent color theory--it feels like modeling for the sake of modeling, with little attention to the way the base tones relate (besides being predictable).
Look at Lynn Varley, Bjarne Hansen, and Richmond Lewis for examples of brilliant color theory and creative rendering solutions.
Keep going. And lose that header.
Cheers,
M

Thanks for all the tips I will take your advice to improve. Now the reason the logo is there is because finch drew this on marvel board. I did not want to remove any of the header.

You're making very little or no effort to follow the shape of the inks. Basically you've jst slapped some white patches where ever you felt they needed to go, mostly in the wrong spot, and ignored the inks and light direction entirely. The texture on the cross just flattens it out and overall it's far too bright for the rest of the picture.

How about reading the "cici' tutorial on my website and see how you go from there? --> http://www.seanellery.com

There's also a stash of high res lineart for you to play with there. Make sure you click on "description and comments" at the bottom of the popup and then on the middle sized picture that appears to get the full sized image..! --> http://seanellery.com/gallery/index.php

Nice work using the red lighting throughout the figure on this one. If I may offer one crit though, it's that your volumes seem too consistently lit regardless of where the light may be actually coming from. Like both arms, the abs, and legs all seem rendered the same without acknowledging, for example, how the straight arm may receive stronger lighting and the bent one may be much more in shadow. Nice color choices overall!
