Help from Experts please!

Hi everyone, I've been lettering for over 8 years and first time running into this issue.

I was requested to send .psd files to the artist after lettering. However, after saving the pages, the true black color from AI changed to 231f20 (not true black anymore). Help! how do I save/export the black the same color?

Thank you

I know this doesn't answer your question... but I wonder why they want a Photoshop file... Photoshop can open Illustrator files, so you should be able to send the your AI source instead.

Meanwhile, I don't see a difference in colors from an exported PSD file from my original AI file when I do it. Whatever color I set in AI, the PSD file I export has the same colors in it on the other side.

I'm using CS6 versions of the programs in case that matters.

Make sure the color mode is the same in both programs, whether you worked in RGB or CMYK.
