Womanthology: Space! Updated 9/20 Issue #2 Roster

UPDATE 9/20: See below for Issue #2 roster! Most all of slots are taken up for SPACE, but please keep signed up, because you never know what's on the horizon! If IDW goes for another series, I will again be working right off these lists!

Hello everyone! As some of you know IDW has decided to pick up Womanthology as an ongoing series!

There will be 5 issues collected into a Graphic Novel, which will hopefully be successful and go onto further books! The theme for this series is SPACE!

The first issue will be out December. First issue roster will be out soon!

Things will work a little differently this time around. The work is still all creator owned, but everyone will get a page rate as is with a normal book, thanks to IDW. Many questions have been asked regarding charity, and there will be a portion of proceeds still going to good cause (which one is still TBD), but as IDW is putting up funds for everything to begin with they still need to recoup their costs, so not ALL proceeds will go to Charity (as is with HEROIC). the exact charity amount is still being worked out, but as always I'm determined for Charity to be a purpose of Womanthology.

Basically that's the only real difference! Womanthology is still intended to be a purely positive project for all involved. The purpose is still to support and showcase women in comics of all experience levels.

Now onto a few things:

1. First, please realize that there is VERY limited space per issue, and unlike Heroic I am unable to fit hundreds at once. So it will be slow going as far as getting people on.

2. For every issue I will have a close ratio of HEROIC Womanthology-ers and newcomers to the series. So for those of you have already been on the book, I indeed want to open up as many chances for you to earn a page rate and be on the series, but please be aware it's impossible for me to put all of you on! Also posting here and int he secondary lists helps if you'd like to put into the forefront that you're still interested in further books

3. Holiday/Valentine Womanthology-ers, I'm hoping there will be news soon of doing holiday issues with your work you contributed So keep that in mind that it's definitely a possibility! I'll be in touch!

4. PLEASE don't feel discouraged or disgruntled if you don't get on one of the books. I enjoy everyones work, and I believe every single once of you deserves your chance to shine! So don't feel just because you're not on the book you don't deserve it, or you were overlooked for a reason. Be proud of who you are, a woman in comics, keep persevering with your work, post it, and be supportive of those around you!

Thanks so much everyone! I'll have more info out soon! Remember I work directly off the secondary lists, and watch these forums so keep posting and keep being awesome! Feel free to ask questions here!

Yay! That should also quell some of the criticisms I've read about Heroic. Hopefully without those people will just focus on the book itself!
