Composition is abysmal. If you can, change the image to greyscale and you'll notice theres little to no values (dark/light). Another way to check for composition is zooming faaaar out so the picture becomes a tiny thumbnail, are you able to make sense of the painting? It helps to do this often to stay ontop of your piece.
If you're using photoshop it also helps to have an 'adjustment layer' that greyscales the entire image just so you can check the composition. You can hide/unhide at will to check every now and then. |
