Ads for Ault & Wiborg Inks
If you liked Tom Orzechoski's post, (Typo)graphical intensity from 1870-1900, I think you'll like the Ault & Wiborg ink company ads.

Oh yes. This is the real stuff.
For anyone who has even an passing interest in Victorian era book cover, poster or sheet music design, or likes to see type and illustration with a limited but rich color palette, these promotional pieces are worth dwelling over. They're everything in line with what I'm looking at lately. Click on them to get somewhat larger images. Thank you, Alex~! |
