Weekly Community Thing

Anyone here interested in participating in a Digital Webbing community type thing? Say, every week we all gather on Google Hangouts and just do our thing, show off artwork or upcoming projects, draw while yapping, just shooting the shit?

Since I don’t own a video camera, is there a poor man’s way of rigging a phone or iPad over art and keeping it in place?

I would if I weren't working evenings. Somehow, I think The Man would frown upon my shooting the breeze whilst getting paid, although it would be nice!

Probably not the best advice but my poor man's way of holding my phone in place while I record my artwork is to put a large cup on my drawing table and place the phone screen side up on top of it. To avoid the cup from showing up on camera, I just crop the video so that only the art is in focus. Again, it's not the best method but I'm sure someone's got a better idea around here!
