GoldBug Joins a Cult

"GoldBug" is a parody superhero (some say "Tick rip-off"...) I've used in several comics in the past. Decided to take him out of mothballs for an adventure where he joins a cult. Based on very little research on actual cults. But, we all know the general IDEA of a cult. And cult-like behavior in general is fascinating to me.

I've been inspired by reading Pogo recently to attempt a pure black & white drawing style (except for the "splash page")... no gray shades even, other than hatching and line shading. (Plus pencil smudges from my imperfect scanning skills!) It's really challenging to pull that off, hatching can quickly make everything look very cluttered and Victorian...
