My Showcase - André S.

Hello everyone!

My name is André. I'm a aspiring comic artist from Brazil (with a few works published) and on this thread I'll post a small sample of what I've done, including pages, sketches, published and yet unpublished works.

All comments are welcome!

Let's start with some "dreaming".

Sandman and Death Sketches and More

Great mood and texture. The guy in silhouette on left -- where is his right arm? Is the human shape to his right in front of him or beside him? Is it interacting with him?

Thank you all !

As for MattTriano considerations... Although I have used a reference, my intention was to make a sketch as quick as I could but YES!, there are some problems with the human figures and I'll not try to "excuse" myself for it.

But as I liked the general mood, I decided to share anyway.

As I usually say, there is always room for improvment and all your coments are welcome.

Stay tuned for the next chapters! ;-)

I'm not exactly a colorist, but every now and then I like to play a bit with it.

Art by Colin McNeil. I just did the colors.

Digging the colours.
Nice to see texture in the colours, instead of the standard perfect gradient shading.

Thanks you, guys. It's not something I usually do, but from time to time I can post some other attempts at coloring.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it!

To keep things going, two illustrations I did last year for an adventure book called Saga in Othá.
The second one is totally digital, so maybe you can spot some little diferences in style.
