Daredevil Christmas

The sleigh and reindeer's were a afterthought. Since I didn't feel like drawing Santa surrounded by scantily clad elve babes nor do I have a character of my own at this time, I went with this. C&C welcome.

Hey thanks Matt,
I like your work a whole lot to. Big fan of Mazz, what made you ask, the Daredevil pic?
I recall you mentioning in one of your post that he was one of your teachers.
How frekin awesome is that.

A lot of nice elements coming together in these.. solid anatomy and sense of form, understatement, textural effects in the inking, design, minimalism.. Only small crit I might have (and not sure how to solve it myself) is that in some of the "action" images, there is a static quality to the figures.. It might be that their axis of motion needs to be more off-balance to give it a sense of movement. Seems like some drawing books, maybe the Buscema one, talk about this a bit.

Seems you get what I'm after, Tim. Guess I'm more comfortable drawing non super hero stuff and have only recently started to spend more time on the super jocks. I'm sure making the figures less static would be beneficial in general. Now that you brought it to my attention I'll focus my energies there. I had reworked this previous drawing to make it less static. Was gonna wait till I inked and colored it but I'll post it now.
Thanks

J
