Talking Introducing myself

My apologies if this is in the wrong place, I didn't see a place explicitly for new member introductions...

Hi, I'm Nick. I'm a 30 year old artist coming from an unusual background; my muscles are paralyzed and I've been dependent on a ventilator to breathe since age 12; I've scribbled and colorized original "Superdude" comic books since age 9, some were published in a local newspaper and two political cartoons made it into insignificant newsletters. I heavily trained in creative writing in college, for years. In 2010 I began creating comics for the web on www.superdude.org and though I only have the ability to draw with my trackball mouse, and creating for me can be really REALLY slow, I go far with digital tools.

This summer, I launched a new webcomic, Bunnies in Space with a twice weekly release schedule; it is a full-color, long-form quirky sci-fi graphic novel about super-intelligent bunny rabbits beginning their own Bun Republic and becoming a spacefaring species before mankind. It's a sci-fi adventure and biting satire. Its been covered recently in the e-mag Chalkpack.

I'm here because I'd love to network with other creators and get feedback, and support others too. Creating can be lonely; I hope to be here often.

Nick

Welcome to DigitalWebbing!... We really should have an introduction area, but this is good enough!

Welcome! I'm new as well and I think its amazing you can do all of that with a mouse. I completely fear drawing digitally. I guess I should get over it huh lol

You could draw with a tablet and get the best of both worlds.

Oh I do have a tablet. Actually my laptop is my tablet. Its one of those ones where the screens swivel around. I can color lineart but the actually drawing is where I need practice. The screen is really slippery.
