The entire current Marvel universe...

Is based off of almost 90% of the What If's.

This is a list of the What If's that came out in the late 80's

If you read over the issue descriptions, it's scary that all this "revolutionary" and "modern" takes on the MU was based off of it.

A world of hulks, what if G. Stacy never died. There's even an issue that smacks of World War Hulk!

Gwen has never been brought back and doesn't exist in the current MU. Harry Osborn was the only old school cast member revived by the huge Brand New Day retcon.

Wait, wasn't there a Gwen in one of the last five years of stories? Swear there was a comic with Gwen, but given the movie, bet ya she'll be back!

Nah. JMS wrote a fucking CRAZY retcon where Norman Osborn boned her. That's probably what you're thinking of. At least he didn't resurrect her and then have Norman fuck her...he kept it in the time frame she and Peter were together. LOL.

Worst retcon of all time, and people love his writing.

Ah. That must have been it then.

Funny. I like Gwen better that MJ as a character.

Yeah, several. They usually strutted on panel, Peter gasped, and then they were either killed or melted into oatmeal. Great drama.

I remember when DC fans used to call us Marvel Zombies. Now it almost feels like Marvel is being run by zombies. No new ideas just gravitating toward what they remember and cannibalizing itself. Oh the sweet maggot infested irony.

When was the last time Marvel was innovative enough to factually be called the House of Ideas?
