Color painted-style covers needed for dark rock band project

Greetings,
Seraphemera Books is in need of the first of three painted-style covers for a licensed comic book miniseries tied into a popular dark rock band from Europe. We figure on digital coloring; we don't necessarily expect you to break out the oil paints and a canvas.

The individual hired will draw all three covers, but the second and third will be needed closer to the completion of those issues in the coming months. The first will be need to be completed in at least draft form by July 18th (a bit short, I realize, but that's what we're up against). Once the band's singer and management see it, there may be small changes. The book should go to press in mid-August at the latest.

The pay for each cover is $150--half to be paid up front, and half after completion and approval--all through PayPal. The artist will sign a work-for-hire agreement. The cover should be in standard US comic book size of 6.875 x 10.5 with bleed. The artist can submit a low-res jpg for initial approval before his/her final payment, but the band may request reasonable changes. After final approval from all parties, the second payment will be issued within five working days via PayPal.

Artists applying for the position should show past cover work--full color, and preferably in the painted style described.
