Give me your ideas!

So, this is going to sound weird and random and completely unrelated to comics/movies/pop culture (because it is), but I'm going to post it anyway.

I'm trying to get a promotion at my job (I want to get my own store). I've done the appropriate schmoozing of bosses (I give out blowjobs like cheap candy on Halloween), and I've taken on more responsibility, but I want to nail the interview. I want to go in with ideas on how to increase sales (we sell cell phones). So what I need are ideas. Anyone in a similar job? What works for you? We have some bright people here, so I'm hoping for some good feedback.

And before anyone says anything, I am posting this question in business related forums and looking for ideas on the web as well, I just honestly respect a lot of folks ideas around here and thought maybe someone would have some good input. Thanks in advance!

I charge for my ideas. But they're well worth it.

There's a huge untapped opportunity to build brand loyalty with street criminals.

For example, your company's next big ad campaign could be something like:

"The phone you'll hate to throw away!"

Maybe offer a discount when replacing 'burned' devices.

...

That or have them hire someone to sit outside the store, fiddling with the latest phone and cooing over its features, a freshly opened package and bag from the store sitting next to them.

I've worked in the communication industry for many years... Until I decided to say "Fuck you!" and go work for myself. I've worked for RadioSmack selling their third party services, Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, and others.
I've also worked for the insurance provider as a licensed agent for said wireless companies. I've worked as a supervisor for many, many ISPs in a tech center that pimped us out to other companies.

In all my years in the field I can tell you this: It's a huge scam.

That being said, read the book QBQ before your interview. It takes one hour to read it, and it will pump your brain so full of mantras you'll spew out a go getting attitude for weeks.

I did right before interviewing for a part time two day a week position at RadioSmack last year. They made me the store manager.
I had to decline the position as I had over-sold myself, but it worked.

Sounds like something that would happen in Jennifer Government.

It's just every "go get um!" and "Team Spirit!" motivational speech ever given.

You already answered your own question. Blow jobs sell cell phones (and even though women might be more picky, guys will start buying their women whatever phones they want if an anonymous b.j. is involved).

I'll check the link out. I've worked in telecommunications for several years now, for various companies. I have felt working for certain places like it was somewhat of a scam. Not so much these days. I understand a little more o how the industry works now. Some things are still a scam. Like text messaging. Huge scam, and no one cares. It's weird. But a lot of things I attribute to the business model. Sure a lot of it may seem like a scam to us, but no more so than other industries.
