People always ask how to get MORE out of Sponsored Tweets. More Offers, more clicks, more followers, more money. And often, there is no clear answer. However, recent research suggests that WHERE you place your link in a tweet matters.
Dan Zarella from Hubspot has published an article outlining his study of more than 200,000 tweets to determine if there was a correlation between link placement and click count.

To his surprise, the results show that links posted about one fourth of the way into the tweet content actually get the most clicks.

Tweet when Twitter is most active
Whether you are doing a manual release or utilizing the automatic scheduling tool for your tweets, you should be aware of peak traffic times on Twitter. According to Sysomos, most Twitter activity happens between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. (EST).

I've gotten a few direct offers now for $1.25 (which is my posted amount based on my followers then cut down a little bit to make it more appealing (also Sponsored Tweets lists you as DOUBLE what you list yourself. So if you're $1.25, you show up as $2.50 and they get that cut). When you get a direct offer, all you have to do is tweet it and you get your of money. Starting to show a positive amount on my pro account ($1.99 per month).

Oh, and one other note, once you start getting offers, some of the pay-out dates are like 30 days after you are approved. So you'll see a lot of Pending money that actually arrives in your account later. So you might be earning more than it appears. Make sure to check your completed offers and see how many clicks you're getting and how many cents per click so you can figure how much is actually there.

Hope some of you guys are getting some offers! I've had about 12, though I've turned down plenty of male enhancement offers and stuff like settlement claims on Rebok shoes.

HA! I sorta tried doing that with this service where you can actually buy twitter followers that may or may not be against their rules. I said something sarcastic like:

"Wow. Apparently you can BUY twitter followers. I have some suspicions now about some of you! "

but it got turned down.

With my latest approved tweet and within 3 weeks of signing up I've nearly tripled my investment to the "Pro" account program($1.99/month). Not monumental money (though it's more than I made in the first 3 years having Google Adsense ads on my site. And as your status grows on SponsoredTweets and your followers grow on twitter, you build connections with clients and increase your income.

Into my second month with them. I had paid for a pro account (free first month, $1.99 afterwards) and have made about $10 total with just a couple of the full $1.25 (my listing price) tweets and the rest for like $0.02 each click. And in this second month, I don't know if I'm more verified or something, or getting a better listing, but I'm getting a lot of $1.25 offers (my listing price) include one for Stan Lee's Comicaze Expo! So already I've paid the pro fee and made a profit on the second month, just a few days into it.

Hope some of you guys are still going and not just giving up because it has been a slow start. You definitely need a good amount of followers to get the higher offers (I'm at 2,445 or something like that). It's something to build. Won't happen overnight, but it's real money for next to no work.

I've made about $13 - my $1.99 investment in a pro account! That's a 552% return so far in 6 weeks or so! Not too shabby! Already more than covered my pro account fee for a few months to come. Don't think I need to worry about that anymore. That was my initial concern was losing money. And the $1.25 offers are beginning to compete with the $0.2 offers as I get more established.

Remember, it's based on your online exposure, Klout score, number of followers on Twitter, web presence in general, and how professionally you set up your profile for investors to see you on the Sponsored Tweets listing. As you get more established you'll get more and be able to increase your offer amount.

Ways to increase your Twitter Followers:

. Have a good profile, pic, and bio. Don't have a bad pic with a bio like "I do stuff." No one will want to follow you!
. Post awesome stuff
. Post at least 3-6 times a day, reply to people a few times.
. Follow a ton of people! I haven't personally done this, but I've seen plenty of people who are following 50,000 and have like 45,000 followers or sometimes even 55,000 followers or more depending on how interesting they are.

Bumped my rate up to $2.90 per pre-paid tweet and I'm getting less offers, but overall making more money. Plus, 1 pre-paid tweet pays for the monthly pro account fee and then some.

They've also started a Featured Users account for as low as $30/month so you're basically advertising yourself to the advertisers. I'm not ready to try this yet, but I have a feeling it'd be worth the fee because there are major advertisers in there willing to spend hundreds and thousands. Might give it a try soon.
