What do you assistants do? Are they flatters or more?

They flat. But I've always credited flatters as color assists. Sounds better. After all, they are assisting me in accomplishing my colors. A lot of other people have picked up the term over the years I'm assuming for the same reason.

I used to be one of those color assistants on the Masters of the Universe, I was just curious if the term was the same all these years later. I miss the Masters.

Masters misses you!
Those were the days. Well... minus that whole CrossGen nastiness.

I don't know. its nice to give credit. But color assists sounds like they did backgrounds, or the like to me. If not flatter, I would go with color prep or something like that.

Back with some more color action!

This is the cover being used to promote the upcoming Infernal Man-Thing story from Marvel, one of the last ones from the late, great Steve Gerber that will be illustrated by the outstanding Kevin Nowlan.

I got sidetracked by work, as usual. I really stink at joining in on conversations. I need more free time!

Anyway, here's another! My boy Pixel-Dan Eardley wanted some fun caricature art for his new website.
so he turned to masterful Matt Tyree to draw it up and then I put some hues on it to make 'er pop.
Enjoy!

And listen to Pixel Dan, Danielle, Eamon and myself on Roast Gooble Dinner, the podcast dedicated to all things He-Man and She-Ra!

And some more fun with a faux MOTU mini-comic cover!

Done for the 30 Years of Mighty Spector April Fools day article on He-Man.org

This was illustrated by awesome Axel Gimenez
with colors and mock-layout by yours truly!

We did this up to look like a vintage cover. Mighty Spector is a figure created by the current brand manager of MOTU for the current 30th anniversary MOTU toy sub-line.
