I thought this would be a good place to collect all the reviews that are coming in!

Womanthology is many things: an inspiration, a call-to-arms, a beautiful work of art. Womanthology will be a book talked about for years to come, and if the world is a just place, it will be a book that will change the comics industry forever. But, above and beyond everything that Womanthology could become for women in the comic industry, there is one thing very important to know about Womanthology: it is just really damn good.

The artists are of varying skill levels, and their styles are as diverse as the stories their work brings to life. In between the stories are pinups and digital paintings, Lois Van Baarle’s tiger and woman piece is very striking, and a knight on the battlefield is smiling as though she has vanquished her foes and is daring another to step forward. It can be difficult to stay objective when it comes to reviewing something that you enjoy, but Womanthology stands on its own merits and deserves to be read, and shared with everyone who has ever considered picking up a comic. By itself, Womanthology is impressive, but I predict that its effects will be far-reaching and lead to increased recognition of women’s work in comics and hopefully more opportunities to tell all kinds of stories.

Hi Ryan,

Advance copies of Womanthology: Heroic have been going out this week to contributors I believe (I've seen a couple of posts in the past couple of days on Twitter/Facebook of the lucky recipients). Of course, you can also request it through your local comic book store. Amazon currently has it listed with a publication date of March 27.... You can order it there and Barnes and Noble, too.
