Wolverine

I know I should be getting my samples ready for the Emerald City ComicCon this coming weekend, but I saw this sketch by Khoi Pham and thought I would toss some quick colors down. I had fun and figured out the Painter program a little better, too.

That's pretty cool for a quick one. I have to get into painter myself. It seems like everyone is going to ECC, and here I am with no money to go this year... I've been to every other one so far, it gets bigger and better every year.

Thanks Snowviper. Sorry to hear you won't be at ECCC this weekend. It looks to be a great show again.

in my vision the colors base that you chose for the character was not good. . . Try to choose again.

Not sure I understand, Miguel. Is it that I used blue and yellow, or those specific shades of blue and yellow? Or are you talking about the skin color? Or all of it?

the blue is fine... It's yellow that bothers me some. I see X-men yellow a more golden-ish yellow. Yours is like a lemon.

Why didn't color like this. . . . Do use Photo Shop to put the colors base in the drawing to facilitate the painting and later do create the whole volume of the colors in Painter?

Thanks Secret Identity. I tried to match the flat color to his costume in Astonishing X-Men, but after I put all the render colors on it, it does look a bit too lemony.

Miguel, I did this all in PainterX. I still flatted it and rendered over that though.
