WIP Clockwork Shadow
First half of a strip for Post Human - I'm still, as anyone who's seen my previous artwork can tell, switching around styles to see what's comfortable.

Love the artwork, kinda reminds me of Ted McKeever.
Some of the story flow has me confused. Do you have the pages with text added? |

I commend you for experimenting, switching up styles, and trying different things. Everything you do always shows a high degree of technical mastery and artistic confidence. And it's clear that you can draw a mecha with the best of them...
The McKeever comparison in the previous post is interesting. I'm getting a Keith Giffen vibe myself. Personally, I prefer your other pages better. This seems a little busy and cluttered, with too many lines that don't effectively lead the reader's eyes across the page. It's not bad, but not my preference. |

I love this! It's a masterpiece. I love the whites used inside the blacks!
How did you do that? What materials did you use? Please answer. |

I loved this...especially that first page. Then I was not sure I liked it still after seeing the rest, but I do. It just takes a bit of re-arranging the expectations. I'd like to see more.

Sevans > Thanks for the comments. There's no text version available, you'll have to wait for the anthology from Post Human - I might have broken the flow about trying to cram the panels in, I'm not sure.
Roel_torres > Keith Giffen, thanks ! One of my old favourites ... cheers for the honest response, too. I'm always in love with whatever I'm working on at the time, so it's good to know what it looks like from the outside. Shushbag > *beam* I'm glad you like it. The basic line drawings are done on cheap cartridge paper with cheap ball-points, and the line strenghths added with a brush and black ink. The Blacks and Whites are laid in in photoshop. MCGranger > Thanks. I still feel like I'm working my way into this style, but for me it hits a lot of the things that I've been aiming for so I expect to use it for a couple more projects yet. I appreciate that it takes a while to get into - and that'll probably work against me - but for indie projects, that's probably no bad thing. Here's the next page. I'm not sure, but I think I possibly over-did the detail and it works against the style. But I'm enjoying it !
