Who has been the best companies you have worked & the worse with re: payment

I have worked with a few, and i have to say the majority have been great in terms of paying on time. However, i have heard thru various other people that some companies, aren't the best with regards to this. What has been your best experience and some that aren't. I've read about Bluewater's contract, but how about the others, DC, Dark Horse, or even Arcana, 215 Ink etc. I was just curious, please interject any others you wish.

Unless they don't plan on working in the industry again, I don't think anyone here wants to air their dirty laundry. There are a few companies that pretty much everyone knows are bad bets, but even midlevel publishers fall behind time to time.

I seriously doubt posting on a message board that is more or less geared toward amateurs or people just starting out, that is under the guise of anonymity, I hardly believe anyone is going to put their career in jeopardy. And to answer your question, what industry, sadly. Also, even though i have worked off and on in the business and probably what would be considered good success, i don't know the bad and good companies.. so i was just curious.

Even as a lurker, if you look at some of the names of the artists being pubbed today, you can recognize their names from the fact that they used to POST here.

DW does have people IN industry that take notice of the talent that comes through here.

Since 2002 I've done a megaton of work for Germ Comics. Logos, lettering, writing, web design, advertising, and more... and I STILL haven't paid myself.

It's starting to seem like I'm avoiding my letters.
