What would YOU ask Erik Larsen?

OK, gang, this worked fairly well when I did the Oeming interview.

So, I'm throwing this out there again. I am doing an interview with Erik Larsen for projectfanboy.com. I want to make sure I don't just ask the same old same old.
I have a bunch of questions down, but I'd like some other angles, ya know?

As with the last one, I will credit any DWer whose question I use. (If it isn't one I already had).

Any ideas?

I got one that has been burning me up.

Why the hell do we have to have an artist attached to get in at Image?

Can't break into Marvel or DC until we have worked in the minor leagues. So you have to pay an artist (and probably skip a light bill or two) to get that project done.

Image is supposed to NOT be minor league, so why the hell can't they accept writing submissions? I thought Image got rid of the stigma of being ALL ABOUT THE ART.

How much editorial influence did you have over a project that was just getting greenlit?

Were there any really good projects you rejected because they didn't fit the Image mold?

Now that you're no longer Publisher, are you still going to have a hand in steering the ship when it comes to new projects?

This may go into internal policies somewhat, but what made the partners come to the decision to let Robert Kirkman become a partner?

What does being an Image partner actually mean? Can you talk about responsibilities of the partners?

I have more, but it might grow into a REALLY long interview.

In 1986 my weekly allowance was $2. One week I spent $1.50 of that on Megaton #4.

Do you remember how Megaton sold on average? How do those sales compare to an issue of Savage Dragon now?

Thank You!

Wow!

You guys aren't messin' around here, eh?

Yeah, may have to reword Eugene's a tad.

Forby...I think I'm gonna print yours out, and throw darts to see which I use.
All those off the top o' yer head, eh?
Gee, maybe YOU should come over to PFB and start interviewing!
Ever think about it?

Once or twice. I've found that I don't like softball questions, and the stuff I want to know is stuff I want to know, and not necessarily stuff other people want to know, y'know?

Shoot me an e-mail at stevedforbes@gmail.com and we can talk about it, see if anything comes up.

How does he feel about being just about the only remaining original Image creator still actually working on his original project?

Is this Image reunion project actually going to happen?
