Freeman01 will become famous soon enough
Awesome!

What are the chances that Erik Larsen would ever consider bringing back Rob Liefields Awesome Universe to Image comics....Those charecters and concepts are 2 good to pass up.

Negative Zero? You are one insane motherf***er!

Seriously, from what I understand (I may be wrong) the *only* person at Image that Rob had a chance of coming back with was Jim Valentino.

Yeah, Rob got in just as much trouble with Marvel, specifically Walt Simonson and Jack Kirby's estate, as he did with Image. Mostly over "Fighting American". But c'mon, if the guy's wealthy enough on his own to publish without help, I'm sure he will. As for Image, Tod McFarlane, Eric Larson, and Jim Valentino all have serious beef with the kid that won't likley go away anytime soon....if ever.

Rob has become an odd cat over the years...

If he wanted to come back to the Image fold and play by their rules Im sure he could mend the fence with Erik Larsen. The trick is Erik is a proud man and Rob would really have to drop his balls and kiss a little ass to show that he's not only got the humility to get along with Erik but to actualy produce the comics he wants to put out and on time.

The thing is... Rob has outgrown Image as much as Image has outgrown Rob.

Now it seems as if he just does one or two books a year, takes them to SDCC and sells them out at $5 a book and makes enough money on that to go back and hide for another year. He'll also pop up and do a cover here or there and works a movie deal or two from time to time. Those three things probably keep him going and on the fringes of the comic book world.

I give Rob some credit for what he did at Marvel with X-Force...some credit. But once he left he became a parasite and screwed with fans, Image, and untold other people and businesses with the way he did business. He should be banned from ever picking up a pencil or being allowed to have a thought about comics ever again.

What does Walt Simonson have to do with anything?

Rob dropped fumbled the ball on Heroes Reborn and Walt had to recover it.

Quote:
SK: You were recently pulled in to finish writing the Heroes Reborn Avengers. Since Rob Liefeld had left the book rather suddenly, did you have much time to prepare for it?

WS: We had virtually no time to prepare to do the Avengers. When I accepted the job, the book was already late and we all jumped in pretty much feet first.

I don't see why two grown men can't reconcile over something that happened years ago. I'd like to see Liefeld back at Image soon.

These characters are currently in the legal contentions between Platinum Studios and Rob Liefeld, so a judge will have to decide. Even if Image wanted them back, they wouldn't do it while the characters are embroiled in court.
