February font fun

ELEVATIONS BB. Once every couple of years I like to do another architect/engineer font. It was my first introduction to hand lettering.

MANDROID BB. A robotic dialogue font with hand-lettered imperfections so it compliments your standard dialogue fonts.

Both look nice!

nice Toth feel to the second one, Nate.

you're not a typographer, you're a force of nature.

Jeff LeBlanc 02-08-2012 10:48 AM

REAAAALLLLY like the second one. Geez, it probably could've been a pay font...

I LOVE having a mechanical font that looks hand-lettered. Excellent work!

Thanks, guys!

Yeah, I’m still here Nate, and yeah I still dig your stuff, awesome.

Nate, are you planning to do a paid pro version of Mandroid? I'd love to use it and have a few books I could use it on right now. But I'd rather not use a free font even if paying the license fee because it's a font that will be used inflationarily (is that a word?) BECAUSE it's free.

Piekos 02-09-2012 02:05 PM

No plans at present to do an outright pay version.

I'll add my approval for Mandroid - that font has so much personality! I'd have happily paid money for it.

You outdid yourself this month, Nate. I'm truly impressed!

Two thumbs up.

That irony was fully in my mind when I posted. ;)

Bummer, well, you know you'd have at least one customer. Hah.
