Hey you!

Yeah, you!

Stick-o-Vision comics is currently running two- yes, two!- strips for your reading pleasure.

There's Toosday Toons, which used to run on...uh, Tuesdays but is now a daily strip! Yes, that means Monday through Friday, a new strip every day.

There's also Yub Yub!, a Star Wars fan strip which is updated on Mondays.

Check them both out right here (http://www.webcomicsnation.com/stick_o_vision/)...then come back and tell us what you think!

And by "us" I mean "me". Saying "us" just makes me feel all big. :(

Thanks guys. Hey, Katherine was bitching she wasn't in the strip yet, so...

And thanks for the tip, Jon. I'm still trying to get used to this new site- I'll start making the strips easier to read. I feel like such a noob. :( Bear with me!

Mike, I'm trying to pull the ultimate scam on people. Any kid with a ruler could make these strips. :p

That really is what Katherine looks like! You rendered her so faithfully! As always, I'm impressed with the realism you are able to convey with minimal lines.

Now, now, kids. Perhaps I shouldn't have brought up the the "any kid with a ruler" bit...that was a "comment" (read: insult) tossed at some drawings I poster here on the board. But man, I don't even use a ruler!

I'd rather let any and all other ugliness from the past go as water under the bridge, though, and focus on what's happening now...like the fact that today's strip and yesterday's strip prove two things:

1. I'm not above puerile humor, and
2. Katherine is...special.

I hate the bow that magically appears in P-3's hair. Is it the power lust bow?

stahss
10-13-2006, 11:14 AM
Indeed it is. That panel is like...you know, a window into P-3's soul, man. An inner power lust demon made real for a second, sort of like that freaky moment with Large Marge in Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. Funky teeth, screwy eyes, split ends, and a magically appearing bow. Power mongering is not pretty!

Wow. I had a script that involved someone being tied up and forced to watch "Touched By An Angel" as well. Creepy. Can you see into my house ?! That lotion is for my skin condition !!

I think this is really funny stuff. Unfortunately, so I won't be accused of ripping you off I have to change the "Touched By An Angel" to "Highway To Heaven". Kind of the same right ? Right ?!

Anyway, really funny stuff. I've never laughed at stick figures so hard.

Hi! I'm not sure if you remember me, but my name is Stacie Ponder. I've been lying low for a while now, but I think it's time to rejoin society...so...

The strip is back. There's a new episode up today, in fact. Thanks for bearing with me- or not, as the case may be- during my absence, and thanks for the concern. :)

Mr. Reaper: while I do--uh, I mean don't--have nanny-cams planted all over your house, I believe the Touched by an Angel torture method predates both of us. According to Wikipedia, in fact, it was used long ago by the Chinese whenever their famed "water torture" failed to net results.

No one's ever beaten the Touched by and Angel method. No one.

Thanks for reading...and don't mind me. While I may spy, I certainly won't intrude.

It took me a long time to find the new site. I know.. not paying attention to your last few posts on the other site and lo am behold I am lost. I missed the comic so I searched. I found.
I could have just asked but I thought that I would look stupid, and low and behold I do.
I love reading your comics. They are the most inventive, and imaginative I have seen in a while. With out trying to take your mind away from the story your simple comics are witty with out being wild or outrageous. Well, a little outrageous maybe, but only in a good way.

*blows dust off of ridiculously old and forgotten thread*

Well, well. See, what happened is, a couple of weeks ago I uploaded my stick figure zombie comic They Won't Stay Dead! to my Facebook account and I was all "Aww, I used to make stick figure comics."

Then some time after that, right, I go to myself "I kind of miss making stick figure comics!", but then I was like "Yeah, but you totally quit."...to which I replied "Well, I just didn't have it in me to do a DAILY strip, sorry." and I got all "You're a douchebag pansy!" and then I started to cry. "Why are you being so mean?", I go, "It's not really a big deal. I might start doing something weekly again, that would be nice, don't you think?" and I was like "Okay, fine, go back to a weekly strip and call it Toosday Toons again and SEE IF I CARE. I won't be here to pick up the pieces when you drop the ball again!" I responded with a plaintive "I don't understand your pessimism- can't you have a little faith?" but it was too late- I'd already left the room.

Anyway.

Toosday Toons 2: The Returnening (http://toosdaytoons.blogspot.com)

It launched today. If you read today's strip, you'll see why I absolutely HAD to get back into making comics- I clearly have very important stories to tell.

Man, you guys are all, like...nice and stuff.

My life has been smilie-deficient during my DW absence, so excuse me if I use them too often.

Wow, you got back just at the right time then. We've all been unbearable asses until today.

I've been checking in at Final Girl...which I subscribe to and laugh my ass off quite frequently...I still own my autographed copy of TWSD, your last Mid Ohio appearance  sniff..sniff...(my snazzy use of texting initials....hey I'm learning.)..And just recently whilst killing an extremely large bottle of Red Zin, tuned into Ghostella's Haunted Tomb and nearly laughed myself off my pottychair at the outtakes real. You are a multi talented young lady and we miss you.

Jim, you are an OUTSTANDING multi-tasker. Drinking wine and watching junk on the internet all whilst using the toilet? Kudos to you, sir...kudos.

And thanks. :)

I'm a woman, and therefore it's my prerogative to change my mind.

Also, I love shoes and I'm a terrible driver! Oh, and math is so hard! And why yes, I'd love to do your laundr--

Ahh, where was I?

The point is, I'm trying to consolidate my cyber-selves. As such, I just launched stacieponder.com (http://www.stacieponder.com) (what an AWESOMELY ORIGINAL name), and that's where you'll find Toosday Toons beginning RIGHT THIS VERY SECOND.

Huzzahs all around!

This subforum-o-mine is still here! How fortuitous. I hope it's not haunted!

At any rate, if anyone still cares enough to pop in here, then perhaps he or she should be aware that I've had a fantasy stick figure webcomic running for...oh, 8 months now? (I KNOW, I should have told you sooner) Anyway, it's called RPG and you can read it here (http://www.rpgcomic.com/)! I love it more than anything.

So yeah. It updates Mondays and Wednesdays. If you have eyes, perhaps you'll consider using them to read it some time!

In related news, I launched a Kickstarter to fund a collected print edition of the book (and more). You can check that out here (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1695992594/rpg-the-collected-collection); I'm excited to see what I can do with resources behind me- I've met my goal, but I'd like to take it as far as it can go over the course of the month and explore other options for RPG, like animation and more.

There you go! YEAH COMICS!
