Beginning here (http://www.graphicsmash.com/comics/crows.php) , Vampire Hunt was the first true horror story that I ever wrote. I had my thoughts on the genre, which play out in this 8-pager that updates a page every Friday. I know it is too early to tell if you like it, but stick around!

Nice stuff so far, man!

I'm curious to see if this guy is the vampire hunter... or the vampire hunting the hunter! :whistlin:

SINcerely,
Dirk Manning

Hey nice dramatical use of black to create moods, Im still shying away from this unneccesarily I just have to sometimes get rid of this and get berserker with black marker, maybe even paint my face with it so I can understand that its not dangerous or anything baahhaahahaha !! How weird !!

I wonder how to know to get back here because I have too many favourites already on my favourites list I cant even cope up with them. LOL! I remember there was a time in internet that I was desperate to find references, I had just been "born again" with the idea of getting into comics, and there was like ffing absolutely nothing available or maybe I didnt know how where to look because I just came from the 0knowledge anyways the only reference that I could see that I actually liked was Bernie Wrightsons ONLY ONE PIC IN THE NET ONLY ONE PICTURE !!!

So here again I just want to express my gratitude to you ppl because you (whoever you are hidden ninjas lol) are totally indispensible and you energy is equivalent to nuclear bomb core center its like when before it was just a little pretendous cough of Bernie Wrightson (all due respect who am I anyways, miss nobody I know) and then now its this hurricane of stuff that only one image takes ages to inspect and things to learn in it !!

I love you all who ever you are that are running this board and you are more than Jesus and have done more to human kind than him (God forgive me plashbhemy) and well I dont have enough words to explain how glad I am, I wish I could absorb things little faster Im just still like a fucking snail but I quess Im learning all the time I hope I just wish I could learn faster but I have these other social matters to take care of that are also slowing me down

I love you all and if it was possible would like to have all of yours children etc

((((HUGS)))))))

My biggest dream is to one day be able to post something here and say that it was published somewhere- that I have become a pro <3

Thanks for the comments!

Dirk, you are the man!

Hey, later this month, one of my "Crows" stories, A Fire Burns Through It (http://www.graphicsmash.com/comics/crows.php?view=archive&chapter=12788&mpe=0) , is appearing in print again (and colorized, at that), in Mystery Manor Haunted Theatre (http://www.mysterymanoromaha.org/) , a horror comic based on a haunted house in Omaha.

Page 4 (http://www.graphicsmash.com/comics/crows.php) is now available.

Yuch.

I mean, yuch :yuk:

Big, bad, personal-space-invading Violence, way before "Saw".

Just wait until NEXT week.

Page 5 (http://www.graphicsmash.com/comics/crows.php) is up.

Violence was the key to this story, and it gets rougher from here on out. I really do think it was more 'Saw' than old school horror, so it was ahead of its time. :yuk:

Page 6 (http://www.graphicsmash.com/comics/crows.php) is up.

The artist made a little continuity error here...can anyone spot it? I missed it until after this went to print the first time.

Page 7 is up and ready to view. I think I was tired of the romanticised view of Vampires at the time. This was written in the mid/early 90's, so Anne Rice was huge at the time ("Interview" came out in theaters in 1994). I wanted to portray them as ruthless, insane butchers.

The story begins here (http://www.graphicsmash.com/comics/crows.php?view=archive&chapter=13360&mpe=0) .

By the way, I now have "A Gathering of Crows" black T-shirts for sale on the site.

This comic is looking great. Really good inking and finishing, too.

Thanks, Scott. The art for this story was done by Jeremy Johnson and Cory Carani a number of yeras ago. I'm really proud to have worked with not only these artists, but also Andrew Kudelka and Adam McDaniel on the other stories!

Today's page finishes up Vampire Hunt (http://www.graphicsmash.com/comics/crows.php) , my most violent tale to date.
