Sorry I've been away for so long. Been too busy wrapping up issue 3 of Project EON and taking some much needed family time since then.

Here are the four alternate covers for The Black Coat #1-4. Issue 4 just came out and I hope some of you had a chance to check it out. I only inked the first nine pages of issue 1 and then all the alternate covers for the series.

Pencils are by series co-creator Ben Lichius.

Chris - Thanks. I was going for a more fine line style of feathering and hatching. I had been using much bolder lines on my stuff before these.

Thorcus - Thanks. Glad you like.

BW - Nice new word, but not sure I could ever use it in a sentence with a straight face. ;) Actually, other than my beginnings as a digital inker, I've worked almost exclusively with a brush (and a few pens for tech stuff). I have a hard time getting long smooth lines with a nib.

MisterMostyn - Thanks for noticing. I'm a big fan of textures.

I didn't know Ben was back to drawing. Did you know Ben actually drew a short story for Digital Webbing Presents #1?

Erik - Thanks. I appreciate the compliment.

eDuke - Cool. How long ago was that? Ben actually did many of the character designs for the Black Coat series and he did all the back covers. Originally, way back before the book was picked up by Speakeasy then Ape, he and I were going to do the front covers and Francesco was just going to pencil the interiors with my inks over him (thus the first 9 pages of issue one). Ben still draws quite a bit I think, but editing and the amazing job of selling the book take a lot of his time I assume.

danedawg99 - Sweet! You've been following the book. Thanks a lot.
