hello peeps
I've trying the tutorials from ninjalettering but it's just not working for me Is there any guess in what i'm doing wrong? I'm having a heck of time trying to get my balloons to look like the ones below.I was wondering does anyone have any tips to do so. I'm using illustrator 10. Also how does one get a blocking looking balloons like the ones that are popular in the dc books.

the tutorials on Ninja are good and have a great method. Are you using the white arrow, or did you accidently use the black one?

Balloon Tales (http://www.balloontales.com/tips/tvshape/index.html) has a pretty good tutorial on the subject (they call them "TV shape balloons").

When doing the tutorial at Ninja, you need to be using the white arrow.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I've taken some tips from both Ninjalettering & Balloontales and hopefully I've a page up shortly.

If you're still having trouble, I used this guide when I was starting out...

http://www.figma.com/howto/psimmons/ps_lettering_01.htm

It's for illustrator 8, while I was using CS, from my experience
the differences were minimal...
