Hey give this software a shot. It can import your art ad text erase the art and save the text on a separate sheet for later overlaying in illustrator or PS. click the comicslife screenshot to see a.... screenshot. ;)

'm trying to find more info on the site...sadly, it's MAC only from the looks of it...but I still want to know more!

Ah. Found it. http://plasq.com/comiclife It's another template program...might be good if you don't want to learn how to letter. Anyone try this?

The Mac magazines and review sites have been going nuts for this program since it debuted last year. It wins awards left and right.

I just look at it as a brand new way to do poor lettering.

Of course, it's not seriously aimed at comic creators, so maybe I'm being too harsh.

As a writer, I've used it to layout my dialogue on the pages of art for final script edits before it gets sent to a letterer. In that regard it's a nice tool.

That being said, however, I would really like to see one of our esteemed DW letterers take Comic Life out for a full test drive, put the pedal to the floor, and see exactly how far this little program can go.

I know it will never approximate professional lettering, but it would be nice to see an expert do a full test and review.
