Hello, everyone. I know a lot of you have been following the development of my upcoming book since the conceptual designs, so I just wanted to post the first six but finished pages of book to bring closure, if you will. These are just mock lettered-pages for a grant proposal, so they will not reflect the final product once the letterer tweaks the work for publication. This was also the concept that I submitted to the Comic Book Creators contest held by Platinum Studios (pg 6, actually), but alas... I never got the call.

"Abigail & Rox" (c) 2006 Joshua Gamon

Written and created by Joshua Gamon, illustrated by Adrian Sibar, and lettered by Ed Dukeshire.

Here is a special bonus: the back cover (and very possible alt. cover) to Abigail & Rox, illustrated by one of my favorite artists, Mikel Whelan (DW's Monkeyboy). Colourist pending.

Nah. I never got the call, which is probably for the best because I didn't have the funds to fly and stay in SDCC for the contest.

For the first coupla pages I was going "why the hell did he pick an artist with this kinda style to do this kinda book? This is supposed to be dark realistic stuff!" Then we got to Abigail and it all made sense.

Nice stuff, Josh.

I think Adrian would really appreciate that compliment. I'm gonna pass it on. :)

The colours on screen pale in comparison when you see them printed out. They're vibrant and explosive. That 6th page looks amazing on printed paper.

Couldn't let this be a page-three'er. Consider this a shameless bump. :whistlin:

Splash was kind enough to colour Mikel Whelan's cover:

Awesome cover (and choice of colourist, Splash! is the only colourist I use here at Trinity Comics). This is a project I'm dying to read :D
